Happy Thanksgiving!

This week us Yanks will be celebrating our Thanksgiving holiday, which for me has always been much more about family than the historical event(s). As far back as I can remember, Thanksgiving involved turkey, stuffing, cranberries, sweet potatoes, and mincemeat pie (and occasionally a pecan pie baked for us by our neighbor), not oddly-dressed pilgrims, their bizarre penchant for abstinence from all things fun and happy, and the weird way in which they decided to repay the native Americans for their life-saving generosity. I’d say that I would not be here today if it weren’t for those first settlers, but since I am Irish and Japanese I have absolutely no connection to them in any way whatsoever, so it has always been family I thank first on Thanksgiving. But that is just me. Whatever the reason you celebrate, whether it be quiet time alone away from screaming relatives or among friends/family by a crackling fire, I wish you a happy and safe holiday!

Terrific post however I was wanting to know if you could write a litte more on this
subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate
a little bit more. Kudos!
