My waist at 120lbs
I am happy to say that over the past couple of days I have lost 2 pounds, which is pretty good. I limited my diet to mainly salads, gave up sweet tea in favor of water, and cut out even more salty food. My exercise has remained the same in that I walk 6 to 9 miles a week.
For those of you who do not know, my need for a diet came about after the holidays when I realized that I had gained 6 pounds and – more importantly – that they didn’t go away. I know that this may seem like a small amount of weight gain, but on a little person such as I, 6 pounds is quite a bit. I know that most people cannot see the difference or may even think that I look better with a bit of weight, and I can appreciate their point-of-view, but I feel uncomfortable with the extra pounds and don’t like the fact that some of my clothes no longer fit. As a source of visual comparison, any photos of me taken between 2005 and Thanksgiving of 2010 I weighed roughly 115. Photos taken post Christmas, 2010, I weigh 120.
In a few more days I will post another blog with a new photo so you can see the difference in my appearance. Please do me the honor of providing me with an honest opinion about any changes which may have occurred to my appearance. If I get back down to 115lbs and there is no difference in how I look, I may just go back to being the little piggy that I am and live off of Bojangles, McDonald’s, and other forms of super-unhealthy prepackaged food which I both love and adore!
