Please Recycle!

Your Recycle Cheerleader!

Yes, I’m back on my environmental soapbox again.  I can’t help but notice how much recyclable material just one person can generate in one week’s time.  If the giant bag of plastic, paper, glass, and metal sitting by my trash can is any indication of how much waste material is being saved from polluting the environment, then simply throwing away your recyclables should truly be a crime.  Yes, it can definitely be irritating when your apartment complex doesn’t offer recycling pickup, forcing you to drive to a facility and sort your material in a drizzly rain on a cold winter day, but in the long run it is worth the effort (as long as you don’t get pneumonia!).  I spend a lot of time trying to help make the world a better place and would love to have you all at my side as I swab the deck of our spaceship Earth.  Stop people from essentially pooping where they sleep – adopt a highway and/or stream (as I have), pick up the tin can rolling around the trash bin and give it a new life as a toaster or something, report polluters when you see them throwing family-sized bags full of Big Mac boxes and extra-large cups of tooth-rotting soda on the highway, etc.  I will be your personal cheerleader!

We have to recycle in Escambia County, FL (Pensacola). I’m in on the program.
Thank you Nikki, for being not only beautiful and smart but environmentally responsible, as well. You ARE quite the package.

It is amazing how many products we consume in this country that the packaging is almost totally recyclable. Thanks Nikki!

I just don’t like how lazy people can be when it comes to recycling. For some reason they think the environment isn’t their problem. Weirdly blind, isn’t it?
