Nikki On: Rumors

My new clubbing outfit!

Hello world!  It has been a while since I have posted anything new.  As luck would have it, something of interest fell into my lap which I wish to share with you.

A few weeks ago an old escorting client found me through my blog and wanted to reconnect.  The last time I had any communication with him was 16 years ago so there was a lot of water under the bridge!  During the course of our correspondence he mentioned that during the time we were hanging out someone had taken the time and effort to locate him and obtain his phone number.  While he was preparing to come over for a visit his phone rang and upon answering the call he was told that he should not see me because I have AIDS and was intentionally spreading it to others.  Upon reflection, around the time when my friend received that call I did notice a marked reduction in the number of favored clients with whom I was spending time.  Coincidence or the result of a successful smear campaign?

As anyone who knows me would know, I am a very careful and healthy person.  I don’t have a single disease and spend a lot of time at the doctor’s office to ensure that I stay that way!  I know I was reckless when I was younger and consider myself incredibly lucky to have come out of my slut phase unscathed.  That being said, and with medical records to back up my declaration, there is only one conclusion to make from the above – someone was intentionally attempting to turn away my loyal clients.

Rumors are very dangerous weapons.  They can have unexpectedly disastrous results and tend to grow like wildfire.  I was fortunate in that all the person was able to accomplish was to turn away a few people and cause a little slump in my past business endeavor.  For others, though, a little rumor can cause a lot of permanent harm – sad as it may be, in the world of public opinion one is generally guilty until proven innocent.  Please be careful what you say of others as you do not know what you may be putting into motion.  My apologies for being biblical, but lets all follow Matthew 7:12 a bit more closely:  “Do unto others as you would have then do unto you.”  In doing so, I believe the world will be a much happier place!

Thanks!!! It is a little irritating when people aren’t brave enough to say what they think of you to your face, but then again I think we are all guilty of talking about someone behind their back. I am far from perfect in that regard. However, when I realize that I have done this to someone I always make an attempt to be honest and say the same thing directly to the person. I know that this might not sound nice, but the things I say about people aren’t mean. I just suffer from bouts of frustration and it shows.

nikki, i am constantly amazed when it comes to you. i have never met a more well spoken, sincere and wonderful person. you are not born that way you grow into it through lots of bumps and forks in the road. you are survivor and because of that you have a genuine message, true wisdom and compassion forged through life to share. if you believe in “god” then i am sure from the beginning he has had a plan for you.
although i don’t know you the way i wish i did or we don’t hang out and chill together i do consider you a friend. and one should cherish those friendships and i do, i cherish the day i met you. i hope some day to be a real friend of yours… you are an amazing person- never ever forget that fact!!!

Thank you so much, Oscar! I will admit that when it comes to responding to comments to my blogs I am a lot less imaginative. I’ll work on that and produce much more interesting replies worth reading!!!
