9-11: Ten Years Later

September 10, 2011 sexyknees

On the tenth anniversary of one of the worst tragedies in American in history, I have only this to say:  we suffered, we recovered, and we triumphed.  As a country we may be young, and at times immature and naïve (and perhaps terrible tourists), but our hearts are good.  The spirit of America will never be broken, and if you ever wonder why, all you need to do is read about the common acts of heroism performed by average citizens such as Richard Rescorla (http://news.yahoo.com/a-family-remembers–hero-of-9-11-gave-life-to-save-thousands.html) and you will understand that a country of 313,232,044 similar heroes will never be torn asunder. We all did our part after the attack, and because of our commitment to our country we remain both strong and free.  On this day let us remember our fallen and reflect upon their sacrifice.  As individuals and as a nation we will honor them.

PS:  always remember that we are not at war with Islam, but against the terrorists who corrupt its message – there are many Muslim-Americans, heroes such as Saleem Hamdani, whom died for our country and must not be forgotten (http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2011/09/09/2011-09-09_muslim_family_remembers_son_who_died_a_hero_at_ground_zero__and_cant_forget_the_.html).
