Standing up for America

Again, just another humble and perhaps ignorant opinion:  regardless of the party, to willingly allow the US economy to collapse when there is a solution is treasonous.  It is an act which puts our country in a peril equal to that when the Rosenbergs sold American nuclear secrets to the Soviets, and will do more lasting damage than any terrorist attack.  Come August 2nd, should Congress not overcome this impasse it will have succeeded where all of our enemies have failed.  Do you wish for Iran, North Korea, and Al Qaeda to profit from Washington’s failure?  Probably not.

There are no party lines when it comes to the safety of our country and its people.  Just remember that, although our military is the most powerful on earth, it is our economic strength which has kept us on top.  I, for one, would rather the United States maintain its moniker as being the world’s only superpower than to gift-wrap our security and hand it over to the People’s Republic of China.

PS:  I’m really going out on a limb, here – please don’t lynch me!  I’m just very, very patriotic and believe in America – I no longer, however, believe in either political party’s ability to lead our country.  Incidentally, the Rosenbergs were members of the Communist party and were executed in 1953 for espionage (specifically “conspiracy to commit espionage during a time of war”) – not exactly the same issue but you get the point.
