I’ve been working excessively for the last few months to prepare for the release of my book and decided I could use a break.  I want to throw a party but am actually horrible about arranging such events.  If there is anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area whom would be gracious enough to host a little party for me where I can get wild and just let go while meeting some of my fans I would be very grateful!  I am open to ideas and suggestions.

So much wish I could host it but don’t think my quiet apt. complex neighbors would appreciate it. You’d be more than welcome but … ah, probably isn’t the right venue. Hopefully someone with a house will step up – if not, would it be logistically impossible for some of us fans to be ready to spring for a suite of rooms at a good hotel where some noise is to be expected?

My parties are actually very tame and low-key. They are either sit and chat wine and cheese socials or more sexually-charged gatherings with responsible adults. I know – not exactly what you would picture, right? Fact is, I enjoy my privacy and don’t like bothering others if they are trying to sleep or have kids. I love to have fun that doesn’t get out of control so that I can concentrate on happy things and not worrying about police coming to the door!

p.s. guess there’s another Randy – the writer who likes Kindle format – I’ll be ‘the other Randy’ from now on!

Thank you, Other Randy! I am guessing you are the same as me in that you like reading “real” books, yes? I look forward to reading your email!
